Bishop Harry Jackson 
Bishop Harry R. Jackson, the organizer of “The Reconciled Church” conference, is Senior Pastor of Hope Christian Church in the Washington, D.C., area.
He is the founder and chairman of the High Impact Leadership Coalition, which works to protect the moral compass of America and be an agent of healing to our nation. Jackson also serves as the presiding bishop of the International Communion of Evangelical Churches, which oversees more than 1,000 churches around the world.
Jackson has appeared on many TV shows discussing matters of faith and public policy, including the “CBS Evening News,” “Face The Nation” and “The O’Reilly Factor,” as well as networks such as BET, CBN and TBN.
His books include “In-laws, Outlaws and the Functional Family,” “The Warrior’s Heart” (with Dutch Sheets); “The Way of the Warrior;” “Personal Faith, Public Policy;” “The Truth in Black & White;” and “High Impact African-American Churches,” a Silver Medallion Award winner.
Jackson has published articles in newspapers, including The Washington Post and The New York Times and on websites, such as Townhall.com. His writing is also featured in many periodicals, including Charisma, Christian Parenting, Kairos, New Man, Ministry Today, The Church Report, The Christian Post and the Elijah List.
Jackson has a bachelor’s degree from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, where he played football, and a master’s in business from Harvard University.
After graduating from Williams, Jackson entered private business but then began preaching, at first part-time, after his father died. He pastored in Ohio and New York before coming to Hope Christian Church in Beltsville, Md., in 1988.
In 2005, Jackson was diagnosed with stage-3 esophageal cancer and given 15 percent chance of survival. Pursuing aggressive medical treatment and trusting on God, today Jackson is in remission and uses the experience in his national ministry.
